The three-time Serie A champion AS Roma turned to Omnigon to design and develop their all-new responsive website.

Create

As part of AS Roma’s strategic initiative to position themselves at the forefront of how sports teams engage with their fans around the world, in a first for a professional sports team, Roma used Reddit, the social network news site and independent fan forums, to directly involve supporters in the development of the club’s new website.

Given the feedback received from Reddit, Omnigon designed and developed a mobile-responsive website featuring a card-based content feed that helps fans consume content quickly on the go, a unique tagging system that allows users to surface the content that interests them and enhanced in-game player and team statistics for every game powered by Corebine, Omnigon’s proprietary real-time data delivery network. Additionally, the site features Roma TV+, a new video platform that gives fans extensive access to Roma videos.

Capitalizing on the celebrated culture of Rome, the site also features an all-new lifestyle travel section to be leveraged by residents, visiting fans and tourists alike. Curated social feeds have also been included to ensure the site is a one-stop shop for everything connected to Roma.

Completely redesigned mobile apps launched in early 2016. A few months later, Roma again went to their fans to source their next two language-specific websites. In December, they launched their mobile-responsive websites in both Arabic and Indonesian.
